<p class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Station History</strong></p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph" style="padding-top:15px;padding-bottom:15px">Queens Park Station was opened by the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/London_and_North_Western_Railway" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">London &amp; Northwestern Railway</a> on their mainline from London to Birmingham on 2nd June 1879.</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph" style="padding-top:15px;padding-bottom:15px">With the L&amp;NWR &#8216;New Line&#8217; being constructed from London to Watford in 1912, two new platforms were provided to accommodate the new services.</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph" style="padding-top:15px;padding-bottom:15px">Services through the station were bolstered when the London Underground <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bakerloo_line" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Bakerloo Line</a> extended here, arriving on 11th February 1915 before being extended to Willesden Junction on 18th May.</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph" style="padding-top:15px;padding-bottom:15px">The mainline platforms at the station closed on 1st January 1917 but were kept intact, seeing occasional use and are still extant today.</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph" style="padding-top:15px;padding-bottom:15px"> Following the passing into law of the <a href="https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/Geo5/11-12/55/enacted" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Railways Act 1921</a>, the London &amp; North Western was amalgamated with other companies to become part of the London, Midland and Scottish Railway.</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph" style="padding-top:15px;padding-bottom:15px">This was followed by the passing of the <a href="https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/Geo6/10-11/49/enacted" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Transport Act 1947</a> that saw the &#8216;Big Four&#8217; railway companies of the time Nationalised to become British Railways. The line and its services were taken up by the Midland Region on 1st January 1948.</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph" style="padding-top:15px;padding-bottom:15px">Management changes saw the station pass to the London &amp; Southeastern business unit upon sectorisation in 1982, relaunched as Network Southeast on 10 June 1986.</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph" style="padding-top:15px;padding-bottom:15px">Privatisation of the railways saw the station and line become part of National Express under their Silverlink Trains subsidiary in 1993.</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph" style="padding-top:15px;padding-bottom:15px">The final change of management for the line and its stations came in November 2007 when Transport for London undertook operation of the services under their London Overground brand, while station management was assumed by London Underground.</p>
