London Fire Brigade Greenwich Fire Station began construction on this site in 1958 and became operational in 1961.
The new station was built to replace the Metropolitan Fire Brigade station of 1879 on nearby Grove Street (renamed Lindsell Street) which had become life expired and was subsequently demolished.
Please can someone respond to my various messages . My smoke alarm has been bleeping for 3 weeks. It is on a bedroom ceiling and is inaccessible – about 15 feet high. HELP !!!
