Notes

London Fire Brigade Erith Fire Station was opened on this site by the Kent Fire Brigade in 1961.

The new station was built to replace the existing fire station on this site that was demolished in 1960, which was a ‘temporary’ replacement for the original 1907 building destroyed by enemy action on 21st January 1944.

Following the formation of the Greater London Council and the redrawing of boundaries, ownership of the new station passed from Kent County Council to the London Fire Brigade in 1965.
