Notes

Plaistow Fire Station was constructed and opened on this site on 4th June 2015.
The new station was built to replace the existing West Ham Fire Brigade building on the site dating from 1931, itself a replacement for a station in Barking Road, Canning Town.

With the formation of the Greater London Council in 1965 and the redrawing of boundaries, ownership of the station passed from the West Ham Fire Brigade to the London Fire Brigade

As part of the London Fire Brigade’s Private Finance Initiative (PFI) programme, Plaistow was one of nine stations coming to the end of their operational life that were chosen to be replaced.

The 1931-built station was duly demolished in early 2014 with the new station completed and opened in June 2015.
