London Fire Brigade Lewisham Fire Station was constructed and opened in 1967. The station became the headquarters of the old E Division, replacing New Cross.

The new station was built to replace the former Metropolitan Fire Brigade fire station at 340 Lewisham High Street, which had become unfit for the needs of the Brigade and closed on the same day the new station opened.

The MFB station building was granted Grade II Listed Building status on 6th May 2002 and is currently utilised as office premises and housing.
