Notes
Battersea Fire Station was constructed and opened by the London County Council in 1937.
The station replaced the former 1874-built Metropolitan Fire Brigade Station on nearby Simpson Street.
Described by the authorities as “out of date and inadequate”, the old station was closed on the same day the new site opened and was subsequently demolished.
